Born and raised in Punjab, India, Sarvjot Marwaha-Bahl brings a vast knowledge base of children in different settings and cultures. After moving to the United States, Sarvjot completed high school in the NYC Public School system and went to college to pursue her degree in Education. After teaching preschool in Tribecca for eight years, she took the opportunity of a lifetime to return to India and teach in the war-torn region of Kashmir. It was there she discovered her passion for working with students with special needs. Upon her return to New York, she pursued her Masters Degree in Special Education M.S. ed., and began her career as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT), working with students one on one in a variety of schools. In addition to her work in the classroom, Sarvjot has supported children in the home, providing play dates, tutoring, and strategies for effective parenting. Growing up with a twin brother has given Sarvjot personal insights into twin dynamics, and she finds work with twins and triplets especially rewarding.
